Code of Ethics & Honor
The 411-Trailers Code of Ethics & Honor reflects how we advise, communicate, and support people before, during, and after the sale. For more than two decades, our family has worked by one simple belief: character is earned through action.
I. Our Code of Ethics
1. Integrity
We provide clear, accurate information, never guesswork. If we do not know an answer, we say so, then do the work to get it right.
2. Respect
We communicate the way we work on a busy ramp: steady, patient, and direct. We treat customers, vendors, and one another with professionalism, and we expect the same in return.
When we include a courtesy upgrade or extra at no charge, it is offered in good faith to improve your experience. If it creates confusion or disagreement, we may remove it and return the trailer to its standard configuration so expectations remain clear.
3. Responsibility & Accountability
If we miss something, we own it. We correct what we can, explain what we cannot, and offer practical options with a clear next step.
4. No Misrepresentation
We do not oversell, and we do not push unnecessary add-ons. We recommend what fits your boat, your towing setup, and your real-world use.
5. Safety First
Every recommendation prioritizes safety on the road, at the ramp, and at speed. If a setup is not safe, we will say so, even if it costs us a sale.
For general towing safety guidance, we encourage customers to review official resources such as NHTSA trailer and towing safety information and to follow their vehicle manufacturer’s ratings.
II. Our Code in Practice
6. Match the Trailer to the Boat
We match the trailer to the hull, load, launching conditions, water type, and how you actually use your rig.
7. Share Knowledge Freely
If another dealer, builder, or resource is a better fit for your needs, we will tell you and point you in the right direction.
8. Experience Is a Tool, Not a Weapon
We use experience to guide and teach, never to pressure, intimidate, or talk down to anyone.
9. Stay Steady When Conditions Aren’t
Wind shifts. Crowds grow. Miscommunication happens. We stay calm, communicate clearly, and keep the situation moving safely.
10. Follow-Through Matters
Every customer deserves a complete answer, a clear path forward, and follow-through that matches what we promised.
Real people. Real workdays.
We are a small, hands-on family business, and sometimes we are juggling deliveries, fitment questions, parts requests, and calls all at once. If you ever feel like we missed a message or did not circle back when you expected, please reach out again.
Just say: “Chris, did you forget?”
I might have, so give me that nudge. Feel free to tell me to grab more coffee, too. Either way, we will get you taken care of.
11. Build Character in Every Interaction
Every call, email, adjustment, and delivery adds up. Character is cumulative, and we work to uphold it every day.
